LeChee Chapter is a certified (1955) local government of the Navajo Nation, and is located in far northwest region of the Navajo Nation, adjacent to Lake Powell recreational area. The Chapter is comprised of a community, also named LeChee (pop: 2,100; 375 homes), and a grazing unit area (pop: 128; 62 homes).
Geographically, the Chapter area encompasses 293,013acres and is bordered by the Lake Powell Recreational Area and the Colorado River; the City of Page; and the Coppermine, Kaibeto, and Inscription House Chapters. Tourism is the major industry in this region as 2.9 million visitors come to recreate on Lake Powell and to tour such attractions as Antelope Canyons.
